ActionAid Hellas (AAH) is searching for a Director of Communications, to join a global movement of committed individuals working to further human rights and defeat poverty.

The Director of Communications will:
- Design and lead an integrated, organization-wide strategic communications plan which promotes AAH’s identity, programmatic priorities, and achievements to internal and external audiences. Ensure that strategies integrate multiple communication channels and practices, including digital, social, editorial, and media relations.
- Contribute to individual Fundraising campaigns and other Fundraising actions, ensuring the support of the Communications team.
- Oversee all communication activities, across the organization, aiming at supporting and promoting AAH’s programmatic and development activities.
- Oversee the development of PR and media relations to promote and protect the brand image and identity.
- Lead the development and implementation of awareness–raising communication projects and campaigns.
- Ensure effective working relationships are maintained with key local and national media outlets and that the organization is well-represented in news media by spokespeople and other individuals.
Requirements
We are currently recruiting a dynamic professional with a master’s degree in communication, marketing, or other related fields and at least ten (10) years of working experience in communication roles and minimum five (5) in Senior Communication roles to design, lead, monitor and evaluate ΑΑΗ’s communication strategy, as well as inspire and manage the Communication Team. In addition, the Director of Communication will ensure that effective key messages are consistent with AAH’s purposes and communicated through the appropriate traditional and digital channels, will enhance AAH’s brand identity and awareness, and will be a member of the Senior Management Team. We are looking for a professional with experience in developing strategies, plans, and monitoring budgets, with strong working knowledge in digital marketing along with analytical and strategy planning skills, and superior oral and writing skills (both Greek and English). Furthermore, experience in marketing and crisis management is required. Experience in the non-profit sector will be considered as an asset.
